I'm going to be installing a GM side post battery terminal in the coming week and was just wondering on the safest step by step proceedure to do this. To ensure, no equipment gets fried, and I don't get fried :P (Note: It will of course be the positive terminal being replaced.)

disconnect the ground wire first, remove and replace the positive terminal, reconnect the ground......enjoy a frosty beverage

 

And ensure you do not over torque it or you will be buying a new battery when the post mount breaks.
