putting in a batt in the trunk.....?
i want to put in a batt in my trunk instend of a cap so just wondering how i would do that. i was told that all i have to do is ground the batt and run a wire from the + from the batt under the hood to the + of the batt in the trunk. is that all i have to do and is what r the pros and cons about doing this? if i dont do this what eles should i upgrade. im putting in kicker kx1200.1 2 L7 and a fosgate to run highs?? what should i do? thankz
i put a second battery in my hatch a while abck and everyone said i need a isolator or relay or something, but at the time i was cheap and lazy so i just took a 4 awg wire fromt he positive post ont he front battery to the rear battery, and grounded my rear battery to the same place my amp is groudned to. everyone also said that the smaller abttery would drainf romt here bigger one, so i used to take the post off the rear one everynight, i stopped doign that, leave them hooke dup all the time,a nd never had any problems. but these are both wt cell abtteries i figure the only way ill gain anything is if i put both dry cells or something which gets too costy.
