Best wiring for two 10" mtx svc 4 ohm

Hey guys, I am wondering what the best way would be to wire two 10" mtx subs with 4ohm svc's. I Have a Atomic Trinity 80.2 and it is capable of

4 ohm stereo 80w RMS x 2
2 ohm stereo 130w RMS x 2
4 ohm bridged 260w rms x 2

Just wondering what I should wire the subs to, what would be the most efficient and reliable method?

I know it's not the best choice of subs and the amp isnt very powerful, this is a install for a friend and its going to be on the cheap. Still sure as hell better than stock

Question

Hope that amp can handle a 2ohm mono load......

Your friend will be kinda sad if the amp smokes 2 days after you put it in......be very careful when you set the gain.....

I was auctually just wondering about that, I dont think I would want to run it at 2 ohm. Would I be safer with running it at 8 ohm? I want reliability. If I ran it at 2 ohm would it be dangerous? What would the gain have to be set at to safely run it at 2 ohm?

Run it one speaker per channel, 80watts per driver... thats the best you get... if you run bridged at 8 ohm you will only pull 130 watts or 65 per driver..

If this is an Atomic Trinity 802, it can take 2 ohms

According to Atomic themselves, the amp is "stable" into 4ohms mono and "workable" at 2ohms mono.....link is here. I would imagine "workable" means set the gain at minimum (highest voltage on the dial) and listen for distortion when you crank it up. Heat will probably also be an issue, a fan blowing air across the top would help.....

If it was me I would try and find another amp.....either something "stable" into 2ohms or a second 802 and run 1 for each sub.

So I ran the amp at 2 ohms and didn't have the greatest luck.

Amp goes into protect before it gets loud enough.. Maybe I was expecting too much from this amp.

It gets smoking hot too.

I think I am going to try and run it one speaker per channel, 80watts per driver

as suggested by Sinemeup

If it is wired at a lower impendence I will be able to turn the gains and bass boost up a bit without it getting too hot.

Don't really want this amp to cook as this install was for a friend.
