I just recently purchased a new alpine deck and installed it (CDA-9883). And i read up on it and it says that you can use your phone threw it. How do I go about doing this, Do I need to purchase something else to make this work on top of buying the deck?

 

Not so sure about your Alpine..but on my Pioneer DEH-P980BT, hooked the hands free mic up to the back of the unit, went to the telephone settings, turned bluetooth on..on my phone, it recognized it and that was it.
Now whenever I get in my veichle, if bluetooth is activated on my phone, the deck instantly syncs with it.
Works like a charm.
Its gotta be simple with the Alpine too..thats the whole point of bluetooth, easy connectivity.

 

Yes you need to spend another $200 on a bluetooth box.

How does your voice dial work? I have a DEH-P500UB and i cant hear the voice prompts from my Blackberry when i do voice dial??
