Car Bogged Down

I Just intalled my system myself,
What i have is a beautiful infinity 12" in a ported bassworx box
i bought an alpine M500 amp and a 4ga Stinger kit.
Also a .5 farad cap

the car is a 92 corolla wagon, my beater...

its SERIOUSLY bogged down and misfiring
when i disconnect the system its fine..
i must have something wrong any ideas?!

Does the car missfire when the stereo is playing (high or low volume) or when the stereo is connected regardless of volume (amp off)?

Disconnect the cap then try again. Also where is your power wire connected?

I didn't even notice that you said you had a cap. Remove the cap and leave the amp connected. See if the problem continues. Other then that, could be a problem with the amp.

Was the cap properly charged before the install? Don't know if that would affect things or not, try unhooking it and see. If it persists we may need to get you to bring it down to Mississauga area one weekend and we can have a look at everything for you. Or if you have a warm garage I might be able to get out to you and have a look there. Just let me know.
