it should have came with a charging circuit...

If you don't have it, you need to put a resistor (someone help me out here with the value) in line with the +'ve terminal and hook it to power to charge it..

If you simply hook it to power it will arc and could damage the cap, your hand.. ect..

I use a test light. The bulb acts as a resistor!Hook the ground up on the cap, then hook the clamp end of your test light to positive and the point to the cap the light will come on when you do this and go out when the cap is charged.Once the light goes out (2-5 minutes)you should be at about 10-11 volts and your safe to hook it up to the battery.

If it didn't come with anything just use a test light.

a 50 ohm resistor will do the trick put it inline between the power wire coming from the battery and the cap for about 1 to 2 minutes be careful the resistor might get warm and to discharge the cap put it between the positive and negative use pliers to hold the resistor it will get hot
