My stock deck works, I have an '86 Honda harness from Schosche where I cut off the unused connector that goes into the dash. (My civic dash harness is still in tact)

Powers on fine, but no sound comes out! I'm pretty sure the wiring is proper, although for now I just used electrical tape + twist to see if it actually works, this deck..







Perhaps I have a defective deck?! The mind boggles -- yes, I know ,horrible install but I am a complete noob -- does anyone know where I can take it, last measure?
