really... with digital, as long as the signal can get from point A to point B without losing data, a 1 is a 1, and a 0 is a 0, so the quality of the conductoris of no consequence, now if there was noise causing the data to be skewed, or a long distance where line loss would be a factor, then I could see the material making a difference.
