A friend has a 1991 Dodge Stealth and is trying to keep it stock. He had an aftermarket HU in there but eventually decided to return the stock HU when the aftermarket HU bit the dust.
All the functions work except the volume control any ideas?

Everything works as designed except volume, the aftermarket HU install was a hack job (quick and cheep) so wires could be loose... I cant imagine how this could be an external (non HU) issue but I am merely OK at wiring car audio not a pro.

just to clarify, By "volume control"
DO you mean - the deck plays but you cant turn it up or down, or do you mean there is no sound at all?

if you can't turn it up or down, then that has nothing to do with the wiring, it is something internal

ok

I concur the deck is trash... time to hit the junkyard (why he wants a stock HU is beyond me... it is not like the car is a collectors item)
