Fuse Size Needed?

I'm putting in my order tomorrow from KnuKonceptz, I need to know what size of fuse i will need, i am going to be running no more than 2000 Watts, I can get anywhere between 80 and 450, What do you recommend?

you fuse to the load but you dont state your amps actual output (the speakers impedance determines this) only the amps potential power and I dont know if that is a BS peak power rating or a RMS rating.

Depends on what size wire you are using.

FUSES

You don't want to exceed the "capacity" (for lack of a better word) of the wire.

I am using a Rockford Fosgate 1000-1BD Amp, and i will be wiring a 15" Kicker L7 to a 2 ohm final load.

I will be using 1/0 AWG.

The amp is rated at the following

•1000 Watts x 1 RMS @ 1 ohm
•500 Watts x 1 RMS @ 2 ohm
•250 Watts x 1 RMS @ 4 ohm

so your fuse can be as small as 40 to 50 amps (with the 500 w draw)

if you are going to top out at 2krms go for a 200amp fuse and call it day! then again fusing an amp is puss! lol! (does this amp have onboard fusing already?)

to figure out the size needed you will need to find out how many watt of actual power you will be giving as stated before it will be 500 so now you just divide that by your voltage so that would be 12v 41.6666667 but if your going to be running it with the car off do your calculation for 11v which is 45.4545455 so find your closest match just remember to figure out amps watts or volts you will need the other two to do it
