fuse size for my system

ok I got 6 guage wire feeding 2 amps. One amp will draw max 75 watts rms per channel (150) watts
1 sub drawing max of 250 watts rms

total=400 watts therfore a max of 33amps. Since my wire guage ampacity far exceeds the draw of these amps, I was thinking a 40 amp in line fuse.

I havent been able to find a distribution block yet that will fit the compression stake ons that i will use.
I was possibly considering just using a copper nut and bolt to secure the stake-ons, then electrical tape-duct seal-then rubber tape.
Im open to any other ideas

thnx

the 40 in the line is more to prevent a big spike from going back into the battery.
