ground?

k i'm workin on a 98 chev cavy z-24. the thing is that it is fwd. not sure if that matter's. where can i put the ground? i have every thing hooked up. deck, amp(excluding the ground wire), sub's, remote turn on.

where can i hook up the ground? i have no idea what would work.

and yes i know what i'm doin!!!! if i did not know i would have left this to some one else to do. i just don't know about the ground that's all.

Ground it to METAL.
Just find a good spot and make sure you have a good clean contact area for the wire, to ground to. Very simple. Sand off any paint in the area, where your wire, or terminal is going to make contact with the vehicel.

Keep it as short as possible, make sure you do not drill through any fuel lines, or the gas tank, grind or sand the paint away where you are grounding, and use a screw and a couple of star washers to make a good contact.

Hey
I find a sparing amount of dielectric grease helps to keep the point from rusting. The note about toothed washers and using metal! are good ideas.

got the sysytem workin last night. i thought we had a problem. i put the rca's in the wrong spot. lol then my freind said mabye try withching them around. lol that solved the prob. oy

after the install we took some pick's of all of our cavy's. 2 2nd gen's and one 3rd gen. all are z-24's!!!

i think i have started a craze or sumtin. lol

I found that most new car's wiring is too thin to accomodate high powered HU's, so I go to the fusebox for constant, and chassis ground.
I find it effective in reducing chances of noise.
