ground problem
ground problem
Any ideas i have a visonik v4000xd and it put out the smoke a long time ago so i went and had it fixed. Now it wont work right. There is a humming coming from my sub when it is on. Even without the RCA wires in it. Any idea what I could try to get it fixed. When i use a smaller amp there is no problem, so give me some input
try a new ground
in my set up i'm killing myself looking for a new ground the more $ i give it and with small gain
what do you have for your ground ?
if i was running 3500 the ground has to be the best i can get !
what do you think of your pg 66 ?
also is that a Herman Miller - Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman in your web site?

i have tried the amp in a buddies car and it worked fine. there was no problem so it is a groung problem. I am just having a hard time find one that will work right. is there anything i can do to help me find a good one
Well....
If it works without noise in your buddies car but not yours, even with muting plugs..... the only thing I can think of is that your alts regulator is shot and is letting AC get through on top of the DC current... this could potentially make noise through the psu right up to the output....
If you are still convinced its your ground point (its definatly not IMO) the best ground you can get is to the chassis with a seperate cable direct to the battery...
