Exclamation Help with amp and wiring please!!

First post, woooo!

Anyways, hey.

My set-up:

Rockford Fosgate SVC 4ohm P2 x2
250rms
500max

Current amp Kicker KX400.1
400 2ohm mono

The set-up is currently wired in series wasn't me. I've got the amp shut off for now anyways. When it stops raining I'll re wire it paralell.

My question is should I go with a 500-600 watt mono amp and wire it paralell or go with a 500-600 watt 2-channel amp? Whick would yield better results?

Another.. The trunk thing they have in the convertible Cabby's is leaking.. what can I do?

well if the subs are 4ohm svc.. myself i would wire them in parallel and find a sub amp (rather than a 2 channel) that will do around your 500 rms mark @2ohms... or even go with a bigger amp in case you want to upgrade the subs in the future..
