Help installing amp
I have a few questions before I start installing my amp. Its a 5 channel amp and its going to be running my from and rear speakers and my 2 12" subs. So here is what I understood so far.
Wire from battery to capacitor to amp, grounding the required wires
Remote wire from stero to amp
RCA cables from amp to deck
Speaker wires from amp to all speaks and subs
Questions:
What guage wire should i use to run from my amp to my speakers and what guage from my amp to sub?
How do i go by adjusting the amp or should i get that professionaly done?
The 5th chanel is to my subs i guess, is there a special way to bridge it or do i just run 4 wires from the 5th channel?
Any advice before I start?
BTW im a somewhat a newb and this stuff but its something I want to learn how to do so please be kind if my questions are newbish, thanks

with in 18" of the battery you need a fuse ! then to a cap that you do not need if you have done the big (can fuse with in 18" of a cap did i say you do not need a cap) then power to the amp the rem power wire out of the deck to the amp
rca's form deck to amp
i would not run back speakers and use the power for the mians and the sub

If this still has you unsure, post a picture of the amp connections and we will then tell you what to do with those connections.

If he has an aftermarket deck, the only wires he should run to the Deck would be 2 or 3 pairs of RCA lines and a remote line. Those wires won't connect to the factory harness.
If he is using the stock deck, he can use the speaker outputs providing the amp has high-level inputs. If not he will need to get a converter to bring it down to line level - unless the amp can receive an 8v + input.

when i worked at future shop i had my system installed and purchased from them
speaker wires from 4 channels goto my gm harness speaker connections then my factory harness then my speakers are spliced into the factory wiring
so its speakers then factory wiring then harness plugs into gm harness with speaker connections on gm harness going to 4 channels speaker out on amp
