Help tuning sub/amp/headunit
Heres my setup...
Headunit:Alpine INA-W910 Navigation receiver at Crutchfield.com
Subwoofer:12WØv3-4 - Car Audio - Subwoofer Drivers - WØv3 - JL Audio
Amp:Brand: MTX
Model: Road Thunder RT2100X
Product Information: 2 Channel, Bridgeable Mosfet Power Amplifier
MPN: RT2100X
Amplifier Type: Class A/B 2/1Channel Car Audio Amplifier
Bridgable: Yes (4ohm)200 x 1/280 W x 1@14.4 V.D.C.
RMS Power at 4 Ohms: 50 x 2
RMS Power at 2 Ohms: 100 x 2
Frequency Response: 20-20,000 Hz
Signal to Noise Ratio: 110dB
THD at Rated RMS Power: 0.08
Bass Boost Frequency: 40Hz(0-18dB)
Low - Pass Frequency: 20-200Hz
High - Pass Frequency: 120-20,000Hz
Input Voltage: 12-14.4V.D.C.
MOSFET Circuitry: YES
Width: 9"
Depth: 7"
Height: 2"
I know the amp is old because its not even listed on MTX's website anymore and theres close to nothing about it online.
Its all installed in my 2002 toyota sequoia with the stock JBL premium sound package.
Im trying to get the amps gain/bass controls tuned correctly with the head unit so I can get the most out of the sub.
The sub just doesn't really make its presence known. I dont feel like its putting out the "volume" or "power" you would expect from a 12".
I suspect the amp might not be putting out enough power but I don't know enough to make that assumption.
I made the mistake of not doing enough research with my old sub and blew it so im trying not to make the same mistake twice.
Any help or comments are welcome.
Thanks in advance!
