Thankx for the help on the big 3 guys... I thought that I upgraded my grounds properly by adding 4awg wires wherever mitsubishi put my grounds I didn't know it was best to go to the battery terminal or even to do the possitive on the alternator either...

The alt wire is essential....4ga wire will work fine but it must be done before you get sucked into spending big $$ on a cap (or another battery for that matter).....if you have added a 4ga wire to the factory ground (making sure you have cleaned all paint, grunge etc. off the surfaces your wire is connected to) the 4ga from alt to battery allows all of the alt output to flow as it needs to in order to power your car and the system.....

go to a reputable power wire web site and there should be a graph that shows what is recommended for what length and what current draw, that is a reference guide of what the manufactorer suggests. Go to the Stinger or streetwire website

Yeah I didn't actually get any of the paint off I just assumed that the threads of the bolt would connect it enough... I'll definitely be doing that when I add the 4awg alternator wire...
