Question Installing question...

I drive an 88 mustang and recently painted it myself cause I wanted to restore it. Soooooo... now I wanna put a nice stero system in it. Since my car is really old, am I paying through the roof just for someone to come and install it? I asked my friend who knows a thing or two about audio systems and he told me it's gonna cost at least 400 just for installation. He told me something about cars made earlier than 1991 and how the whole set up is different and much more complicated. Is this true what he said?

Thanks

Your freind would be right if your car was a 68 even then its not that big a deal, your 88 mustang should not be a problem at all. Sounds like some one is trying to make a quick buck. If anything the new cars cost more money with the factory amplified systems.

I would have to agree , I prefer to work on older cars then the newer ones , I find they have less plastic panels . no hassle bypass on extra stuff like factory radios that control things other then the radio and amps .
Your mustang I would think is straight forward.
