So I got a new mp3 player and I have the problem with on/off of the radio meaning it doesnt work with the ignition key, I have to start it or stop it manually.
I got the adapter from future shop and with the 3 wires black , red and yellow it doesnt work with the igtion. I tried with 2 radios and it does the same thing.

My jetta is fully equiped and my brother has the same car 02 tdi , no optios on it and his on/off ignition keys work perfectly.

Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong.

You will have to run a wire to your fuse box and hook up to the accessory fuse in there. Your car does not have an accessory wire at the radio harness because it is a data signal to the factory radio.
