I was thinking of mounting my 2 amps in my back seat . Now do I have to take apart my whole seat or what ? Oh its an 84 Z28.
Is there any pics on the net i can look at, or any sites i can go to?

Thats a sweet install but my seat is only about 5 maybe 6 inches thick with a plastic backing. I don't want anything too fancy i just want to hide the darn things. I can't afford to lose any space by recessing them into my box for my 4 12's. If push comes to shove, could I put them inside the box, or no.

If you put them in the seat they won't breath very well when the seat is in the up position.

If you put the 12's in a slight "U" pattern starting and ending in each rear corner you will have enough room on the raised section just behind the rear seat. I've seen it done and it looks very good (fit four 12" RF audiphile's, and four punch 100ix, no cutting of panels!).

Question

Well what i thoght of doing was using my old box for my 4 10's whioch has roughly 4.5-5(conservative) cubes , and incorporating that box into a much bigger box, hoping to get at least 8 cubes. Then having the 12's facing the hatch, and having a fat port right in the middle of the back of the box facing the front about 6x6x13", and mounting my two amps on that side as well as my distribution blocks, and other bells and whistles.

Ooooooorrrrrr, what I was also thinking of doing was having all 12's front facing, and two 3x11" ports in the corners , it'll be a tight squeeze, but i believe it can be done. All this squeezed tightly behind my back seat. But the 12's will have to be tilted slightly to clear the roof. Then mount my amps ander the box, behind the seat
and install some small fans for circulation.

Sorry for rambling but I get worked up over these kinds of things

You won't be able to see out the back window anyways so why not just build a wall?
