I need some help reinstalling a 4 channel amp.

Here's the background... i just bought a van with a Pioneer Supertuner IIID head unit and 6 speaker setup (2 dash, 2 door, 2 rear). Only 4 speakers are working now (dash & rear). There was an amp in the back but this was removed before i bought it.

Here's what has me confused...

There's wires for 4 speakers in the back where the amp was. Checking with a multimeter i found 2 run to the door speakers and 2 are disconnected.

When I pulled the head unit I found another 4 speaker wires that had been cut/snipped off. Checking these I found 2 run to the doors also!!... and the other 2 are disconnected.

Other connections for the amp are all still there and ready to go... RCA's, power, ground, remote.

I'd like to figure this out without pulling all the panels to check wiring, but it's starting to look like i may have to.
