Need some info on Pioneer 8" sub's
I have 2 Pioneer subs 1 model TS-W201c marked as a Sealed sub, the other is a model TS-W201f marked as a Free air. Both are rated 100 rms /250 peak, both have 23.5 oz magnets. The only visual difference I can see is the sealed sub has a thin foam gasket on it . I can't find anything at Poineer. com about these subs. Dose anyone have specs on box size ect for these units. I want to put them in doors as midbass. I thinking I would run sub sonic filter at about 100-150h and low pass about 250-300h. Any help would apprecated. Thanks.

Looks like the 201C will work in .75 cubes vented, with a 2" diamter pipe, 4" long. Could not find a listing for these on Bassbox, these are the really old ones, black IMPP cone, with the old Pioneer logo in the centre?

Freeair subs don't usually LOOK different, but the suspension is usually quite a bit stiffer.

^^^^^ It's not in english but that doesn't really matter. The symbols for the numbers (like Re, Bl, etc) are the same.

Kewl got the info printed out now. I'm a little depress to find out they aren't a matched set. Now I gota rethink plans to use these babys as mid bass drivers. I was going to mount then in the door panels.
Yes Jeep those are the 1's. Kewl little 8's And seeing now that they are not matched it makes sense that they moved differently in the box. 2nd hand from buddy at work. I know he wasn't ripping me, I don't think he knew what he had when he sold 'em to me.

OK. Just got back in town after 2 weeks of vacation. I was talking with a guy that sujested that using these 8's as mid bass drivers I should put them in 1/4 cube sealed boxes. He also said that the speakers would roll off natrally and that I shouldn't worry about finding an amp with a sub sonic filter to limit 100-250 hz. Any thoughts ?
