I'm planning on making a new box for my truck. The box dimensions are 6" wide on the top, 8" wide on the bottom, 15" tall, and 51" long. I got 2 RE10's going in it. I ran this through WinISD and got these results. I got a vent mach of 0.08. How do they look? This is my first attempt at a ported box. Anyone have any suggestions?

Driver : RE 10
Vas : 75.6
Qts : 0.36
Fs : 21.50

Anybody?
All I really want to know is if 2 1 3/4" x 3" x 14" ports will tune a 2.242ft^3 box to 28Hz. Any will I have any vent noise from 2 10" RE10's. Any help would be great because I really want to get started on this box.

Well I haven't had much luck planning this box. I am planning on building it this weekend but still need to get a few things worked out. It is going behind the seat in my regular cab truck. I decided inside of havinging two ports I want one big slot port in the middle of the box firing up. I was having trouble with the vent mach. What should be the maxmium amount that is acceptable? Another thing I didn't understand is when subtracting the port volume do I just subtract the volume of the wood or the volume inside the port too? I was planning on tuning it to 28hz. Is this alright for a daily system. If anyone could give me a hand it would really be apreachiated.

Below mach .o6
Subtract the entire port volume.
Also subtract 1/2 the inside thickness of the port from the total length if you're using a wall of the box as a side of the port....better to tune a bit high to account for friction...
Keep the ends of the ports at least 4 1/2" away from any box walls as well...probly gonna need to bend em.
Two small ports have more friction than one large one, and need to be a bit shorter.
