Hey, i bought this Nextar stereo from canadian tire and i installed it in my 1996 chev cavalier 2.2L.

I hooked up the stereo to my orignal wireing using the book wireing diagram but for some reason the constant power for the stereos memory does not want to remember lol, like i have the stereo on do all my settings and stuff, turn off the car, and poof when i turn the car back on my settings were gone.

Now i now i hooked it up right, but i have 2 other wires left, one gray and one brown, somy dilema is do i need these wired into the constant power, battery power, or do i ground them?

does your dome light work?

 

you probably have your ignition and your constant backwords.

 

dome light works, and possibly are backwards i'll try it out and let you know thanks
