hey just installed a kicker Sx1250.1 in my car, amp turns on, and status says normal. hooked up a rockford fosgate punch dual 4 ohm wired in parrallel to 2 ohms. the problem is no sound is comming out of the sub, when i took the sub out of an older car a few years ago it was working fine. i tryed using the pink noise setting on the amp and got nothing. tryed sending the signal from an mp3 player, and still nothing.

any suggestions? or any further tests i can run?

put a drill battery to the sub, see if anything happens. if not, the sub is done.

Yeah, do the ol' 9v battery test. Do you have the RCA's plugged in the right spot?

i like the battery test to test if a speaker is working....if your sub is fine check the connections again and then move on to your amp...test it if theres no output it could be a setting that u have messed up or it could be an amp problem.

will try the battery test, i noticed today that if i plug the RCA's into the amp after the system is switched on, i get a faint thud comming from the sub
