pioneer avg-vdp1 speed detection circuit

Hey, I'm installing an avg-vdp1 vehicle diagnostics processor in my 94 lex sc400. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the speed sensor wire the unit needs to be connected to. My question is... How many pulses per revolution of the rotor shaft is the unit looking for? My car sends out 2 different pulse signals and I'm not sure which to use.

Thanks.

doesn't matter, it primarily relies on the GPS and the VSS is used for linear acceleration and deceleration.

Thanks extreme1, it seems to be working fine. I hooked it up to the ecm's speed pulse wire.
