Pioneer HU Aux. Problem

Pioneer HU Aux. Problem
So i just bought the Pioneer CD-RB10 IP-BUS connecter with a minijack to RCA input cable in hopes of running my iPod on my DEH 5800MP. But i cant seem to get it into auxilary mode. The manual says to press source until auxilary comes up or to press function until auxilary pops up but neither work. What am i doing wrong?

If its anything like my old pioneer deck, you will need to shut the deck right off. Then hold the function key to bring up the set up menu. You should be able to toggle between auxilary on/off in there somewhere. Keep in mind this is off my probably 5 year old deck.
EDIT
Here is a link to a pdf format of the instruction manual for your deck. The directions for activating the auxilary input are on page 41 and the instructions on how to access the initial setup menu of the deck start on page 40.

any ideas on how to do the same on a pioneer deh-940mp? i dont appear to have a function button (only source and band) i tried the CD-IB100 thing but the ipod to deck interface was horridly slow, so i went and got the nc-ipio from nuecleus/american international, but my deck doesnt recognize the ipod as an input (or anything)...when the cd-ib100 was hooked up, the "source" button allowed me to select "external", but with just the cable, it doesnt allow me to select anything. ive been through the owners manual and cant figure out to make my ipod work with this deck now.
