polarity tips

hey just wondering what you guy use to check the polarity of speakers/wires

I take a 9volt battery and hook it up see if the speaker moves out or in

is there any other/better ways maybe with a DMM?

devide 9v by 2.83 to get the aprox wattage. yeah its not much
not enough to blow a speaker, and its easier to tell with a 9 volt. if you really wana get crazy get a couple car battery's togeather in series lol... dont do this to a speaker you plan to use though.

i don't think you can even tell with a dmm. Every installer I've seen uses a good ol 9v
