I have recently got a 12" memphis sub and emailed them to get specs on a ported box. they told me 17.5x17.5x12 internally with a 4x9.25" port. what is the best thing to use to make a box? should i use MDF or is there something easier to make it out of. what should i use for this port? i was thinking just basic PVC piping, will this work fine? this is my first box attempt and i would like it to go smoothly. any hints, tips, etc would be greatly appriciated.

hehe, i live in Milcroft but chill around new street and applebyish area. that is where i got my sub, they seemed really impressed and impressed me with the memphis stuff. i just wanna get a cheap box, i mean i could make one for about 20$ so i don't wanna have to spend 40$ on one. and i don't think radio active will make one for less then 40 bucks. where in burlington were uf rom?

I know that that is exactly what they ment, and that is internally, so with 3/4" MDF its ganna be 10".

I just have one problem i have no idea what dimensions to use. The specs for my sub on the sheet that came with it were 2cubic feet with a 4x8.25" port. The specs that i got when i emailed them where between 2-2.25 cubic feet, and a 4x9.25" port. Then i got a sheet about the rockford phosgate punch sub and it gave dimensions of 2 cubic feet, with a 4x10.5" port i believe. which of these should i use?
