Call me crazy, but I'd much rather use a $100 LOC than keep risking paying a repair bill especially on a zapco.

lol. I got confirmation from the tech working on the amp that it was a short. Power/ground fault. I suppose it was a bit of sloppiness on my part to get it temporarily wired up to test it. Over excited to see it in action? I think I mentioned I had it running for a while. I've also had another amp in the car, working almost a year now with no complaints. It's just way too small for this car and this build.

Kiley's right? Let me get it half *** built at least. Its just a sub integrated with the rest of the bose system right now. I'll drop by some time. Finally gonna order some speakers this week I hope. I've decided to go with a Dayton/seas combo from solen. Nothing too outrageous but enough to work with. Also cheap enough to not feel bad about if I end up not liking them And I've still got 1 more amp to buy after that.

Wow it's been a long time. I kinda forgot to update here. Hi-Tech in Saskatoon had my amp for like 4 months without being able to fix my Zapco AG650 so I sent it to S&S in Scarborough. Twice... They replaced some FETs and resistors, then repaired the sub output the second time. This amp runs a sub, tweets, and doors really well on its own! (I settled on Seas Neo Aluminum with Dayton RS 6" up front. I have a matching AG360 as well and am currently using it to run the 6's bridged to maintain a bit more than a 3:1 power ratio up front. Using an AudioControl 6XS straight off the Bose HU signal, which I've spliced into RCA connections. It ran clean until I bridged the 6's, then I got some engine noise. I've re-grounded everything, swapped channels, wired negative signals together and even installed an engine ground kit. The noise seems to show up when I bridge the 6's only. (Yes, my power and signal wires are on opposite sides. And no, the noise is not there when I pull the leads out of the AudioControl - meaning it comes from the factory wiring somewhere.)
Will be getting a GLI shortly. Unless Wasted911 is still in Saskatoon and you want to take a stab at it?
