I'm putting in a new head unit and have the wiring adapter and all that stuff. Question is do I need to hook up the speaker wires to the head unit if I am running rca's to the amp for the speakers or should I just tape them off?

 

Tape them off....individually.... or using a small pick tool, remove the pins from the molex entirely.
