Im just wondering if Dynomat or any sound deadening material will stop ALL the rattles? Im trying to get better quality out of the system in my escort....but it doesnt seem possible. I was contemplating putting a sheet of mdf, carpeted, against the very back of the trunk to try and reflect some of the waves back to the cabin, as the metal there now absorbs and shakes my car bad. It sounds like a$$. I went out and bought a good sub thinking that was the problem ( l7 ) but it seems that wasnt it. The car just cant seem to reproduce music cleanly. Im running a Sony Mp70 deck too...and the SQ is decent...I may need an aftermarket 4 channel amp too....anyways thanks for responding guys/gals. Cya!

It sounds like deadening will go a long way for you. The MDF is a good idea. Do that with a couple layers of mat and you'll be laughing.

Tell the car to shape up, quit rattling or you'll sell it to some old fat lady and buy somehting else.

i have the same problem with my corolla. what i did is make an attempt to sell everything(almost done) and get money to get another car. i couldnt justify putting a ton of money into my cheap car, only to sell it soon anyway.

If you want cheap sound deadening, DON'T BUY DYNAMAT! I'm using eDead from Elemental Designs for my car. It will cost you $1.15 per square foot, which is about as cheap as you'll find deadening anywhere, as far as I know...
