I have done a few different installs in my wagon over the last two years. and i have always designed my boxes to put the subs right against the rear door. now i am wthinking about installing two kicker L7 15 in it. i have the room for the 12 cubic foot box. but i was thinking about making it outright rude and placing the subs directly behind the rear headrests with the slot port between the subs. how will having the subs facing towards the front of the car affect the sound? i am thinking about turning my current box around and try it. but i have absolute for subs right now and they sound like facing the back god i miss my type x. the setup would be similar to the honda civic steve meade did with the re 18s just instead of being behind the front seats it will be behind the rear.
