I just ordered speakers - Alpine type S 6.5 components, alpine type r 6x9's and a 4x 80rms amp
I'm wondering where the best place to install the tweeters in my 97 neon. The speakers are in the door, and there appears to be a spot to install the tweeters in the dash facing up towards the windshield.
I'd like to know what location (ear level, close to woofer?) , where should they be directed, for the best sound.

get some 2sided tape and speaker wire try in all the places you can think of

 

They are generally better off being installed close to the midrange speaker... Mine are under the dash a few inches from the door speakers and are pointing at me...
