Has anyone used this product or others like to enable the continued use of the steering wheel audio controls after replacing a stock head unit?

Do they work well? Fairly straight forward install?

have used the pac piece on many occasions, and on many occasions have considered slitting wrists for relief, difficult to program, and always lose programming

i have had 0 problems with the pac unit
yes it takes a learning curve to progam once you have it down its a piece of cake
its the same as programing most learning remotes

I have tried a few different steering wheel interfaces and they worked marginally at best, may have been the crappy Pontiac I was installing thewm into though. The owner finally gave up and learned to live without the steering wheel remote.

I just finished a BMW with the PAC unit. Worked quite well. They arent hard to program, but you do need fast fingers (you only have a few seconds to do the programming).

I used the pac one for 2003 Jeep...I liked it. By hard to program.....

I used the SWIX alot. The first couple were hard to program now I could do it with my eyes closed.

The only real one I had issues with was in a Landrover and I ended up pulling it out.
