Sub problem

Amp is a Memphis st-1000d

anyways hooked it up yesterday and the green light is good and it turns on and all, I hooked up my subs and nothing would happen. Tried swapping the rca and not using the sub output and the rear speaker output instead and it came on for a bit but no sounding like it was supposed to. MA sub wired to 3 ohms. Later in the day no sound at all.

Later brought out a 12" single 4ohm to test and it would produce no sound at all. But I never knew if that 12" worked or not since I bought it used off some guy, it was supposed to work but didn't.

Being fed up i gave it one more try, brand new pioneer 10" 4ohm that my buddy just bought and it worked.

Is it safe to assume that the amp is good and that the other 2 subs just died. Is there a better way to test this.

Amp is new as well so not sure where I should proceed next.

Thanks in advance guys.

maybe the 2 subs that are not wired in a proper 3 ohm or maybe your amp cant handle 3 ohm impedance you can check the ohms with a digital mutimeter and hold the = and - on the speaker terminals at the subs ends and at the amp ends to see what ohm it is producing
