Hi guys this is not really install related but I was just wondering if any of you guys know why after I start playing music my subwoofer takes about 3-5 seconds to start working after I can already hear music in the speakers I was wondering what is causing this delay and If I can fix it or if it is something internally in my deck that is causing this problem. Thanks for your help guys

Some amps (ie Zapco) have start up delay options so the HU startup can not give the system a turn on pop. This is uncommon and is usually for a competition type amp. It is the sound of a 'safety device', enjoy.

This is not a big deal right, just a curiosity correct?

My sub amp (US Amp) fires up 1.5 sec before my comp set amp (Zapco) so for that ampout of time I actually hear my subwoofer and can evaluate the sound and the xover point etc. it is interesting to only listen to the subwoofer and the 'sq' of sub-bass
