To answer everyone questions I would say call Raymond Knight @ SVA power products/Brantford alternator and starter, he helped me decide what I need in an alt for my 1991 civic, he is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to vehc electrical systems and he wont try to sell you **** you dont need. His products are also top notch and the shipping is very, very fast!

You might want to check with your dealership first if your truck is under warranty. I was told that upgrading or adding a second alt. would void my warranty. " due to the extra current that the car cannot handle and will fry the computers". why you want so much power anyways? for a plow?...no! it is an intrepid!
