Just to clarify, when you glass the lid its best to make a mold of the lid and then build off of that?

As for the trunk lid I think the maybe if its setup so you have to remove the bolts on the trunk lid to use the hinge then you could retain the stock fitment and then remove the bolts when at the shows?

thanks, got both this morning. Looks like an interesting idea for me. Only thing I would change is putting the brackets inside the square tubing so that the trunk isnt raised up because of the bracket. I know you could always mess with the latch and move it around aswell.
