Upgrading '08 F150 Head Unit
I have a new '08 F150 Super Crew with the factory 6-CD & Sirius radio and factory sub-woofer under the rear seat. I am looking at buying the JVC KW-NX7000 DVD Navigation HU with 7" screen. I also want to add the Sirius module and Bluetooth module, which are available for this unit.
I just want to make sure of a few things before I make the plunge:
1) Can I make full use of the existing factory speakers (including rear sub) by purchasing a compatable wiring harness?
2) Will the factory satellite antenna (which is permanently mounted on the roof) plug into the JVC Sirius module?
3) Where does the GPS antenna need to be mounted?
I already have a Jensen DVD with 7" pop-up display, XM module and iPod adapter along with a stand-alone Sony GPS but I want a clean, "factory looking" install. Any advice and/or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Your in barrie, give Ron at Odyssey mobile electronics a call, he will be able to awnser all your q's! in my 06 I had no issues but I never had the 6 disk or sub, or planned on retaining the factory speakers for that matter. IO know in my mustang I had the mach system, and was able to retain all the factory amps, and such with the proper harness so I am sure that you will be fine.

Thanks gumby. I do know Ron as I have bought quite a bit of stuff from him over the years but this HU is on sale at Future Shop right now and I didn't want to bug him without giving him some business.
I was hoping there would be someone else that has already done this as I have learned not to believe everything the sales people tell me.

if you whent to FS for that talk to a teck lol the sales person dont know much.
if you want to make it look factory looking you should of when with a double din deck ( if it fits) its a ford i think it does lol but i didnt check. a nice double din deck with everything built in, even GPS would of done the trick quite nicely. as of keeping the stock speakers, keep them if you want but i would change them. and for the sub that might be a problem sometimes. replace the sub and put a new amp is the easyest way to go
for the factory mounted antena for sirius, if its the same plug im sure you can use it. if not... well i guess its just for looks lol. usualy you mount your antena on top of the vehicle pointing upwards ( put it as level as possible )

Thanks for the suggestions Danyman. Yes, it is a double DIN so it will fit nicely. I am more concerned with the optional wiring harness connecting directly into the factory harness so everything works exactly as OEM.
Again, I already have a Rockford Fosgate 4-channel amp and a 10" Kaption sub that I pulled out of my '03 F150 but the stock speakers and factory sub sound pretty good for my needs.
I am really more interested in a completely "factory look" and therefore do not want any external wires on my dash (as I have now with my portable GPS and iPod cable running to the audio input jack) or any more antennae on my roof. I was hoping someone would know about the Sirius factory antenna connector and that it would plug directly into the JVC Sirius KS-SRA100 module, so I could use the factory-mounted satellite antenna.
Regarding the Pioneer AVIC-F900BT, yes, it is a nice unit too and comes with the Bluetooth module already. The only things I don't like about it are the 5.8" screen and the GPS software. They are running the TeleAtlas maps as opposed to the Navteq maps that JVC are using. And have used both before, I much prefer the Navteq.
