Need to find this wire immediately! Checked Staubtech and Directechs and both have come up with wires that aren't correct. I will either get directions to get a white/orange (which doesn't exist on the harness they say to look at) and a blue/orange (which turns out to be a tach wire).

Anybody with experience finding VSS on this car?

Where are you locating the blue/orange? According to my info it's also a blue/orange but it's pin 66 in the grey plug at the PCM (behind the driver's side headlight).

Yup, that's where I found the blue/orange and it reads tach. There's also another blue/orange but no reading. Btw, pioneer guy, did you read my other message I posted in the General forum regarding the N2 and iPod adapter?

^^^Yes I did & hopefully I answered all your questions.

Perhaps your local Dodge dealer might be able to help with the VSS.

BTW, is the AVIC-N2 going into this vehicle?

Yea, sorry I didn't see your reply before I posted here. I haven't had a chance to try the "band" button, but will do so asap.

I'll see if the dealership could lend a hand but they're usually not too willing. Oh, and yes, an N2 is already in this vehicle (not the same vehicle as the one with the ipod adapter). I understand everything will still work without the vss, but in areas where the gps will lose signal that's where the vss will help out, right? to relocate the vehicle quicker once a sat connection has been re-established?

If at all possible, the unit should have the VSS connected.
All functions will work with the exception of the "slope" portion of the Vehicles Dynamics Display without VSS. The VSS will add accuracy to the system but it will work in all areas without it (even where GPS is not possible such as tunnels or downtown city streets).
Good luck!
