3 15" x ones will be going into a wall in the back of my gmc yukon

which is the best place to put the port? top, bottom or side?

or which one of these will work best?

box will be strictly for daily driving use and tuned to 32-34hz

i want some input on which would be best for what i want

thanks

I agree with DWVW, the one on the bottom right, but group your subs as close together as possible while still being able to brace the baffle correctly.

Keep the port away from the extreme side of the box. Center the rectangle port in the remaining area where the subs are not. If your port is right up against the edge of your box, your box can see the door panel as an extension of the port and it will change your tuning.

Here is the skinney for SPL yo...

I agree that port placement as well as sub placement can effect loading... take note that at resonance the output from the sub cone will be at a minumum while output from the port will be at a maximum (will account for 3/4 of your output)

I might try to find the sweet spot for the port that will cause the greatest degree of loading at resonance where the mic will be placed....

ive actually decided to go with all three subs across the top just above the seats, and the port is going on the bottom

52.5 x 24 x 17.5

after displacment that gives me 9.6 cubes

im going with 90 sq inches of port(6 x 15), with a 14.5" depth so its tuned just under 34hz

when it comes to SPL comps, yea i might enter just to see what itll do, but im not too worried about losing, like i said before, STRICTLY daily driving, ill post some pictures when its all said and done
