Where To Mount

Where To Mount
Alright so I have a 1977 Monte Carlo. So far I have mounted two 6x9's in the back, right behind the rear seats, on the window ledge. ( Had to custom cut out the metal, drill holes, etc.
So now, for the front. There was no speakers orgionally there. Only some small one hidden in the dash, which leaves me no room to put a 6x9. Could I possibly make 2 boxes for them, and install them just at the bottom of the dash ? Or would it be better to try and make cut-outs in the door, ( if the window will allow for it ). Or cut out the sides of the car where the back seat is, just under the small non-movealbe window ? Or would that make it not balanced ?
What do you all think. I want it where it won't get damaged, but also make my car sound nice.
Thanks.

first things first get rid of those 6*9's and get some round speakers
espcially for your front stage for your car I would go with 6.5 coaxial or component you may have to cut the doors or build some fibre glass kick panels
this means running new wire from the deck so on and so forth.

If I understand what you said about mounting under that dash, don't do it. It will never sound right. Your imaging will be way off. At minimum I would cut some 6.5's into the door as mentioned above. Preferably components over coaxials.

I kind of want to keep my 6x9s. And I dont have any money to buy anoter set of speakers. I started to take apart one door pannel, and I think I may just have room. I will keep up-dated.
Maby once I get all my stuff together, someone in the area who is good at setting up car audio, could lend a hand ?
Thanks guys.

try running the placeing the speakers whrer you think you would like them then run wire to an amp play it (just run your wire on top no need to run under thing now ) then move the speaker to a new place untill you have the best place
you also mite do this in a speaker cup thing or a box (so speakers like free air )
you will need time becouce you are doing 6x9s harder to do
