Wiring harness connection help requested
Hi I'm DIYI
Car is a Dodge Magnum 2007 and I am getting ready to install the hu and would like some clarification before I go and tap in to stuff
I'm wiring up my wiring harness
Pioneer to Chrysler adapter
I got the 8 speaker cables wired in a colour match (I'll use the deck to power up till the amp rack is finished.
I'm left with
Pioneer side
large yellow 12v switched
Orange/white Illumination
Yellow/black mute
red 12v constant
On the adapter end
Red 12v ignition switched
Yellow 12v constant
Orange Illumination Dash light
How do I wire these.
I also read that I need to tap the switched 12v to the pink cable in the ignition harness to bypass the canbus.
I have the blue 16 gauge tap and I've located the pink cable. Is this correct
How do the rest of the cables match up or which ones do I drop ?
Blue common
Since my fuse box and battery are in the trunk underneath the amp rack. I'm thinking of tapping back there.
If you can help that would be very cool

What are you going to do for the remote wire for the amp? I'm assuming that from what I read that you're not using the remote wire from the hu...
