Wiring speakers to amp

Need help, please direct me in the right way if this isn't the right place to ask this question. I'm sure this question has been asked several times but I have no clue how to do this. I'm wanting to get a new sub and amp and also want to wire my speakers to my amp but I have no clue how to. I know I need to run new speaker wire but that's it. Im not sure how to wire the speakers to the amp and back to the head unit. I have 4 speakers 2 in the dash and 2 behind the seat and the amp is an alpine mrx-v70. If anyone can help me with this. It would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the Site. Would be helpful if you could offer a little more info on your current setup. If you are running a stock headunit or after market.

If you are running an Stock system, and you are going to add a sub to a trunk you can get a RF Pass that will change the Rear speakers to RCA . From that you can then run to your Sub amp. Then wire the amp as normal. Only other issue is that you would have to run a amp on wire as well.

It would be best if you had an After market headunit that had 1 or 2 RCA output and best if one was set up for Sub out. Would need longer RCA's but that isn't that big if an issue.

If you were to give more information about what your looking to do I am sure you will get better help...

Good Luck
James

Thanks for the help, I have a pioneer deh6600bt with 2 12" rockford fosgate prime subwoofers on a rockford fosgate amp, not sure which model it is, the speakers are also rockford fosgate, again not sure on the exact model, but I'm thinking about getting rid of that setup and changing it up but I'm on a bit of a budget so I just wanted to change the subs, amp and leave the speakers alone for now until I have a little more money for speakers. I would like to connect the speakers to my alpine mrx-v70 5 channel and run my subs on a new mono block amp. Oh and all of this is going in a 1991 chevrolet c1500 2 door truck.
