hey gilligan, i also advise against boggers or any other swamper for that matter, dont get me me wrong, those are truly awesome tires, if i had a four by i would put them on it. they will last forever if you keep them in the mud, but i know over a half a dozen people back home who have boggers and run their trucks on the street, and they just dont last. you can actually watch the tread wear off. it seems like a waste of money to me. also i dont know if interco fixed the problem but the wider boggers have a tendency to split down the middle between the lugs. my buddy mike is already on his third set i believe, because of them splitting, and his truck(not his tires) has only 11,000 km's on it. pics are on page 5 i think of my sound domain page. i say go for a nice radial like the m/ts, or those cool looking krawlers.

I went with 265/75/16 mud-terrain t/a's. I like um! $300 a tire is enuff for me, even though that's not what i paid. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow.

 

Fat Whacker, the All Terrains should be fine for whatever you need to wheel in, I would think. Mine are pretty decent off-road, not that I do a whole lot of 4x4ing. Check www.bc4x4.com for some good deals on used tires also. I think the Marshall Powerguard tires are pretty decent also. Good luck!

You had bad experience with your tires in mud? Was it a really ugly trail? Just curious, as I have not done a whole lot of exploring in mud with my A/T's.....

 

My aunt's boyfriend runs a pro 4X4 mud bogger as well (called "Complete Insanity"). Naturally aspirated 427 on alchol, numurous bells and whistles, dyno'd at over 2300 Hp @ the flywheel. Paddled tires too. Thing is a monster and weighs just under 2000lbs.

 

A friend of my dad is Roger Swan, he owns a car dealership in Bowmanville and he's got a chev pull truck....it's got paddles, blown, injected bigblock built by Terry Mason that makes just under 3000hp. It's pretty wild. He would fire it up to put it on the trailer about a mile or so away and I could hear it in my bedroom...it's sweet. He always seems to have problems with blower belts though. Not sure why? It's a 4" belt driven 12/71 with a Bird catcher on it. I believe the belt's made by Badyear.
