This is a crazy forum post.. right now at 4:20pm MST there is 26 pages of replies on this forum.. the story is sad.. Thank god garages require insurance here in Ontario that would have easily resolved this..

rockney as far as i know insurance in not required
and second of all it doesn't mean that this kind of thing wouldn't happen
when you take your car to somebody your on your own
unless you take them to court
and you need before and after proof
and most shops will proably be reluctant to use there insurance with insurance company's prefering no claim customers
sorry to say that its your job to check out what kind of place they are befroe you take your stuff there

And in this case if I had bought a new engine.. and some un worthy employee or customer dropped something in it.. it would be in good faith the garage to fix it as it was in there hands, court is a waste of money, the customers time and the garages time..
My car see's 2 garages.. my regular one i have dealt with for 10 years and the dealership for recall notices.
