Anyone Know Old Guns?
I have a 30.30 Savage that's pretty much mint, and like you, I have no other info on it, I tried to find some a long time ago, but no such luck.
I know it's a bolt action, short barrel too as are a lot of 30.30's, that's about all I know about it.

Alright wells looks like i got a good briefing on all the terms.
There's the gun. all the parts and everything.
The magazine or w/e. all in all a thing of metal that holds the "cartridges" and slides into the part your hold with your hand. And the leather holster. is holster ok? I think it's got a name on the inside and everything.

I'll see if I can find some pics.
Or I'll take some next time I go to my buddies cottage.(I don't have it at my house)
I know nothing about guns, as a matter of fact, I've never ever shot one. But a buddy of mine has quite a collection, so I sent him a link to this thread. He replies:
Lightfoot says: The chance of you being able to find and then pony up the money for a pre-WWII production 9mm. Luger is about the chance of you getting a real avatar.
Seriously, if you're serious, you'll need to start watching gun auctions and be prepared to START bidding at about $1000 for one in CRAP condition...they only get more expensive from there.
If you're into the look and the style of the Luger there are cheaper replicas out there that have about the same firing characteristics (but also significantly reduced manufacturing quality).
$0.02 from a guy from another board.
