Anyone out there chew??
ha, I used to chew the odd 'waude of backer' when I was in HS. never really got into it much because it tasted like ****...
Funny thing is chewing aint nearly as bad as smoking, but the catch 22 is that you get a much stronger rush of nicotine and its generally more addictive then smoking, even a pipe !
**** quiting cold turkey... just try and fight cravings more often and tell your **** head coworker no thanks...... knock him one in the head if he persists, it will make you feel better and he probably wont offer again...
If things get difficult, try getting drunk everytime you crave or maybe try some coke instead..... (more fun then smoking/chewing if you ask me)

One thing about the gum....it's too large a dose at 4mg, and who can chew, chew, stop.
A trick that worked for me was to cut the gum into quarters or eigths, and keep em in your tin.
Just take enough to get ya by while the craving is strong (usually only 60 seconds or so).
You can do the same thing with the patch (I know they say not to) cut em into smaller pieces, and stick one on whenever the need hits.
Tell yourself, and everyone else, that you quit, and how much better you feel being free. A little "self hypnosis" can do wonders to re-program your subconcious.

I used to chew in H school lots and over time it fazed out for me, but i still get cravings. One thing that i did to kik the habit was try to chew less. if your goin thru a tin a day try to push that tin to last 2 days or more. and keep doin it till you basically stop chewing.

I use to chew at school... in shop class (bad, i know! lol).
then a few odd times outta school at friends..
during shop when id run out and my friend had no more in his tin, id be mad but whatever. i kicked it.
havent dipped in like.. a year or so now lol
