I'll take a guess...

Halls sensor, TPS, or does that thing have a CPS (Crank Position Sensor)? EGR & O2 would be a good guess too...

Is that the van I referred to you?

I picked up a used pickup fom PNP this morning and will try it out this evening when I get home....

If it had stalled again before I got home,I would have pulled over and swapped it right then and there...that will tell for sure...I hoped...Otherwise I was going to try and get it to stall for me when I got home and then swap it out...

Guess what??

Yep!!

It died again!

I changed the PU right as soon as it died...it ran even worse!!

So back to square one...old PU back in and running as good as it was...

Buddy of mine is swearing up one side and down the other that its either the MAP sensor or the fuel filter....

MAP sensor is about $100 new and none to be found in the bone yard...

Fuel filter,he claims, needs to be replaced with a Genuine Chrysler peice...says there was TSB on it at one time...And I have no clue what that would cost??Anyone on here work for Chrysler?LOL

So it maybe a little while before it gets fixed....Just have to give extra time to get places...just in case!hehe...

SIGH...

Now....

No sorry Bob...its not that one....

No I cant return it for my money back...private deal....

Yes I know the people who change parts at random...and no I'm not doing that..well...yes and no...Right now I'm trying to find someone with the same vehicle that could loan me a part here and there to see if it maybe the problem....

Theres no codes....

I drove to the boneyard, then to another boneyard 15 mins away, then to work this morning...no problems..

I drove home, buddy stopped by and him and I went for a ride for about 1/2 hr...no problem....

Drove from here to almost where I work tonight to meet up with a few friends for coffee...did 100 kmh bang on for about 10 mins the drove at 80 for about another 5 mins...I slowed at a yelid sign to look for traffic and it stumbled...I pumped on the gas...just barely got it off the road....

And from there you know what happened....

There is no ryhme or reason to it!

Its driving me nuts!!

Except for this problem, I love the thing...I'm regreting not getting a minivan sooner!

I'm planning on trying to do a huge amount of diagnostics on it over the weekend...fuel pressure,vacuum,compression,timing...I dont car if its not a possibiltiy, I'm going to check it anyway....you never know....
